Brand Style Guide — Generate a Modular Draft You Can Edit
Build a brand style guide in your browser. Steps: enter brand name, industry, primary HEX (sample Northline Studio #0F6E8C), pick personality tags, choose modules, get a rule-based draft with clear space, colors, type, spacing, and Do/Don’t samples, then copy Markdown/JSON or download Word (.docx) / PDF. Smart defaults are editable field-by-field — not cloud AI. Nothing uploads.
Tags drive radius, type hint, voice, and primary area guidance.
Off modules are omitted from the preview and export.
This is an editable draft, not legal trademark advice. Structure presets (Strict / Product / Friendly) are educational patterns inspired by public guideline structures — not official brand kits and not affiliation with those organizations. Generation runs locally; we do not host third-party logos.
How it works
Fill brand basics, pick a structure preset and modules, then Generate. The tool applies visible personality rules (radius, type hint, voice, primary area), builds Do/Don’t samples, and exports Markdown/JSON plus Word (.docx) and PDF downloads. Fields you edit stay manual; Regenerate smart fields only refreshes untouched defaults.
Rules you should expect
Modules, smart vs manual, contrast, privacy, and local export.
- Guideline structure is Module → Element → Sample (Do/Don’t). Closed modules never appear in export.
- Personality tags map to radius, primary max area, type roles, and voice — shown in the Rules sense, not a black box.
- Logo clear space defaults to 1× mark height (1.5× on Strict). Minimum digital size follows the preset.
- Status colors stay fixed and decoupled from brand primary so errors never inherit the brand hue.
- “Smart” means deterministic rules in this tab — not a cloud LLM brand kit.
- Privacy: generation, preview, clipboard, Word, and PDF run locally. Libraries load on demand; guide text is not uploaded.
Example
Load Sample: Northline Studio, SaaS, #0F6E8C, calm + technical, Product preset. Preview shows foundation, logo clear space 1×, teal primary with derived secondary/accent, fixed status colors, type roles, 8px spacing, and Do/Don’t cards. Markdown/JSON update; Download Word or PDF for a file that matches the preview look.
Good fits
- Indie sites writing a first visual rule sheet before hiring a designer.
- Freelancers handing clients an editable Markdown or Word guide instead of a frozen PDF only.
- Small teams aligning web, social, and app chrome on the same clear-space and color ratio rules.
Frequently asked questions
Is “smart” the same as AI brand generation?
No. Smart means fixed, visible rules (personality → radius/type/voice, HEX → secondary/accent). Nothing is sent to a model API.
Can I use this as an official trademark license?
No. The export is a working draft for your own brand. It is not legal advice and not permission to use anyone else’s marks.
How is this different from a color palette tool?
Palette tools focus on swatches or CSS tokens. This page builds a multi-module style guide document (logo, type, spacing, samples). Use Generate Brand Color Scale or Smart Website Color Scheme when you need deeper color systems.
What do the structure presets change?
Strict emphasizes logo clear space and boundaries; Product keeps token-friendly modules on; Friendly also enables voice and touchpoints. You can still toggle modules manually.
Do closed modules stay in the JSON?
Module flags are stored; preview and Markdown omit closed sections so partners only see what you enabled.
How do Word and PDF exports work?
Word and PDF capture the same preview you see on the page (html2canvas), then paginate into .docx images or PDF pages. Motion demos freeze to a still frame. Everything runs locally after you generate; libraries load when you click download.
